Ongoing Second Saturdays Artwalk

Together with several other galleries in Breckenridge, Altitude Gallery is participating in a gallery artwalk the second Saturday of every month in 2009. Stop by the second Saturday at any of the participating galleries between 4pm and 8pm for snacks, refreshments, art, and good company. <top>

2010 Black and White International Print Competition

Altitude Gallery will be accepting entries for the annual black and white print competition featuring nearly $2,000 in cash and prizes.

Altitude Gallery welcomes Colorado artist Joe Patane to The Loft

Joe Patane Prism Rail

Joe Patane, painter, neon, and glass artist, received his BFA from Alfred University and furthered his studies with stints at Pilchuck Glass School and Peland School of Craft. His achievments have recently been featured at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York and Museum of Neon Art in California. He continues to gain inspiration and information through traveling with a snowboard and driving around in his ‘64 Impala.

Tim Brown

Altitude Gallery welcomes Colorado photographer, Tim Brown, to the Loft.

Tim's fascination with adventure, exotic cultures and  historic locations has lead him to embarking on numerous excursions to Central and South America, India, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand and Mexico, as well as numerous travels through out the United States and Canada. 
Some of his advertising and editorial clients include National Geographic, 
U.S. World and News, Jeep, Time-Warner, Outside Magazine, Patagonia 
Clothing,

Timothy Faust: Faces of the Himlaya

Altitude Gallery welcomes Colorado photographer, Timothy Faust, to the Loft.

Timothy's new project, Faces of the Himalaya will be in the Gallery Loft during the month of Janiary. Faces is part of a documentary portrait project Timothy worked on during a 2009 trip to Tibet and Nepal.

Proceeds will benefit Braille Without Borders and Doctors to the World.

Adam Pender: New Work

Tony DiZinno: Dreams of Kabul

Altitude Gallery welcomes international photographer, Tony DiZinno to The Loft this August.

Tony's new show premieres at Altitude Gallery this September and features photos from his Dreams of Kabul project. Dreams of Kabul is a collection of images and stories from Afghanistan. The collection showcases the incredible beauty found within the oppression, poverty, and destruction.

This show is a must see, and proceeds from sales benefit Mountain to Mountain's educational projects in Afghanistan. Mountain to Mountain is currently developing projects in Afghanistan to promote education and to eliminate the startling gender gap in literacy. These projects are focused primarily on the short and long-term needs of women and children.

Altitude Gallery welcomes Colorado photographer, Kelly Borst, to The Loft this August.

Kelly's photography is regularly displayed at Altitude Gallery and encompasses a variety of elements of nature. Her subjects include the macro world of flowers and insects, as well as intimate landscapes.

Her work is really must see, and will be on display during the month of August.

Borst Photo

July 2009

Altitude Gallery welcomes local photographer, Mandy Turner.

Mandy is an emerging artist and a recent gradute of Summit High School.  Her work combine exciting color and composition with underlying themes of social and political comentary.  It is truly different than any other work Altitude Gallery has shown before and is not to be missed.

This is Mandy's first solo exhibition, and her prints will be on display in The Loft at Altitude Gallery for one month only.  Be sure to stop by this July and see them for yourself.

Altitude Gallery would like to welcome he up and coming photographer, Kevin Kaminski, to the Altitude Gallery Loft. Kevin's work spans are large field of subjects from NASCAR, to rock climbing, to amazing landscape and architectual images. Despite the wide variety of subject Kevin's unique creative vision shows in every image.

Altitude Gallery is proud to present never before seen work of Colorado landscape photographer, Todd Powell. Todd's photography features a unique method of cross-processing medium, large, and panoramic format film that yields beautiful prints. Artist Reception, Febuary 14th, from 5pm to 8pm.<top>

Mat Lit Photo

Altitude Gallery is proud to present "Glimpses of a Dream". A show by Summit County Photographer, Matt Lit. Matt's fine art photography is made using a toy Holga film camera. His images have won numerous international awards and have been featured in several publications. Artist reception January 10th from 5pm to 8pm. 10% of the proceeds of sales will be donated to The League for Animals and People of the Summit (L.A.P.S.)

Holga is about the only photography I do outside my professional work (which is now all digital). As the body of work begins to grow, I am thrilled to see that "the Decisive Moment" is still the most important part of my Holga Toy Camera images.<top>

 

Grand Opening Celebration

If we are interested in showing your work in the gallery we require photographers to submit a 16X20 print portfolio for review by the curator.<top>
